The SWRA would like to welcome visitors to our site. We are diligently trying to improve not only recreational opportunities for our citizens but communications to those participants and parents as well. I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce the SWRA Board of Directors. President — : – Raymond Collins (City)- (601)528-3408 : Vice President: Tommy Parker (dist#3)-(601)762-5420, Secretary and Soccer Rep– Keith Kennedy (Dist# 2): – (Dist# 4), Anthony Cunningham(Dist# 1), Brad Jones (Dist# 5) Fred Lewis (City) and Jerad Havard (City).
The Board of Directors meet on the second Monday of every month (unless otherwise publisized at this site) at Hood Field Baseball Bldg. located at 590 Old Hwy 49 in Wiggins at 6 pm. The next scheduled meeting will be on May 14th. The public is welcome to attend. Anyone wishing to address the Board of Directors are asked to contact our recreation office so that we may put it on the agenda.

Our Recreation Director is Bryan Gibson (601-716-4003) and our Maintenance Supervisor is Chris Grady.
Our programs are primarily comprised of volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering in any of our programs are greatly appreciated. Below are some of the criteria required to serve.
Traditional registration times and seasons for our sports are as follows:
- Baseball/Softball: Registration late January, early February. Practice in March, games in late March thru mid May.
- Football/Cheerleading: Registration in August, Practice in August, games in September through November.
- Soccer: Spring Registration August/September, Practice in October, games in November early December. Fall Registration January, Practice in February, games late February and March.
- Basketball: Registration late October to early November, Practice after Thanksgiving, games January through February.
